Techvance Hotel & Resort is currently looking to recruit the following positions:

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
PURPOSE
Financial Controller is the key players within accounting departments. With their knowledge of company finances, they help senior management understand the financial impact of real-time decisions to ensure the fiscal success of the business. Responsible of financial accounting, preparation, reporting, analysis, budgeting, project management and to establishes and enforces the accounting principles based on statutory requirements and auditing policy. The key role is to focus on immediate financial issues and management.

SUMMARY
Work with the Finance Manager/Operations/General/Resort Manager to provide full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel. Assist Heads of the Department to improve their financial awareness and provide them with relevant financial information for their operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures & verifies that quotations are regularly updated and supplier’s new current price lists are maintained.
Handle full spectrum of financial and cost accounting role eg. AR, AP, GL, forecasting, budgeting etc
Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations
Perform full set of accounts and ensure timely closing of accounts.
Perform project cost forecasts/budgets, cost tracking, monitoring and controls.
Responsible for timely monthly consolidated financial statements, payments, cash-flow management reporting for submission to HQ in Kuala Lumpur.
Review & approve payment vouchers & journal entries
Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and project teams in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
Issue project cost reports for review and approval.
Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the set up.
Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early-warning of cost-overruns
Work consultatively with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives
Controlling the payroll
Producing an accurate set of month-end accounts, with comparisons to forecasts and previous periods
Preparing departmental and company profit and loss accounts and the balance sheet for senior management
Assisting in preparing budgets and business planning, including projected room revenue
Reconciling bank statements
Ensuring legislation is followed regarding GST/SST and all other government related dues
Review aging and follow up on late payments, reporting bad debts and keeping a careful eye on the cash flow
Suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the General/Resort Manager
To setup , implement and improve internal control from time to time
A good understanding of inter-department system between front office , hotel outlet , houskeeping , store etc. will be an added advantage .
Candidates is prefer to have minimum 5 years of working experience in hotel industry

FINANCIAL MANAGER
PURPOSE
Finance Manager is the key players within accounting departments. With their knowledge of company finances, they help senior management understand the financial impact of real-time decisions to ensure the fiscal success of the business. Responsible of financial accounting, preparation, reporting, analysis, budgetting, project management and to establishes and enforces the accounting pricnciples based on statutory requirements and auditing policy. The key role is to focus on immediate financial issues and management.

Perform / supervise in preparation of bank reconciliation , creditor reconciliation , cash collection reconciliation , fixed asset schedule .
Arrange and organize monthly stock take , identifying weaknesses in inventory control system , identifying obsolete / expire stock etc
Ensuring legislation is followed regarding GST/SST and all other government related dues
Review aging and follow up on late payments, reporting bad debts and keeping a careful eye on the cash flow
Suppliers/vendors for delivery purposes on a daily basis.
working experience in hotel industry , knowledge of the function of income auditor and knowledge of the integration of front end and back end of hotel system will be an added advantage .
Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the General/Resort Manager
