Royale Chulan The Curve Hotel is currently looking to recruit the following positions:

ASSISTANT FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Assist in planning and review Front Office Department organizational structure to achieve maximum staff utilization and productivity. Ensure that the duties and responsibilities of all subordinate staff are properly defined and that each staff is kept aware of their job responsibilities.
Assist in hiring, train, lead and develop staff within the Front Office Department.
Assist in following up the performance standards and procedures for all sections of the Front Office Department that had been implemented.
Constantly evaluate job performance of the staff and ensure that they are properly trained to perform their work up to the highest standard as expected of an international hotel. All staff must be familiar with the hotel policies and regulations.
Assist in maintaining effective communications within department by conducting daily briefing and monthly meeting with staff.
Ensure that all reports, project or correspondence are completed and accurately before the date line.
Conduct audits and sport checking on cashiering drawer.
Develop and maintain close rapport with all guests and to provide personalized service whenever possible by being available to meet and interact with them.
Ensure that all complaints and problems are rectified immediately and in a professional manner. All guests must depart the hotel satisfied.
Ensure that all staffs are properly trained to handle and response to all emergencies.
Conduct regular checks of the premises under supervision to ensure that all assets are protected, and area is kept clean and tidy at all times.
Work closely with the Housekeeping Department to ensure that there is enough clean rooms for sale at any one time.
Assist in controlling hotel rooms and key control system at the Front Office.
Work closely with the Account Department to ensure that all billings and monies are properly handled and staff adheres strictly to the hotel’s credit policy.

REQUIREMENTS :
Must be thoroughly conversant with the Front Office computer systems.
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Manager specialized in Hotel Management/Tourism Services or equivalent.

ASSISTANT HOUSEKEEPER
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Assists Executive Housekeeper in day to day operation.
2. Resumes responsibilities of Executive Housekeeper in his absence.
3. Checks room status.
4. Revises daily work schedule depending on occupancy.
5. Gives daily briefing to Public Area Supervisor and Floor Supervisors.
6. Prepares monthly supervisor’s duty foster.
7. Attends to guest’s requests.
8. Inspects work to ensure prescribed standard of cleanliness is being maintained.
9. Inspects officers, guests rooms, floor corridors, staircase, lobby, function rooms, restaurant outlets, swimming poll terrace, public toilets, staff lockers, lobby driveway and car park levels and squash courts for cleanliness and maintenance.
10. Prepares master list for carpet spotting, curtains etc.
11. Distributes trouble reports and follow-up.
12. Recommends rooms which should be taken out of order.
13. Coordinates with the Front Office to make certain rooms are available.
14. Checks guest elevators and service elevators.
15. Investigates complaint and takes corrective measures.
16. Coordinates days off.
17. To train all new employees and to give monthly training to the attendants and supervises to improve their job performances.
18. To attend monthly Housekeeping meeting.
19. Monitors the Room Attendants’ work performances.
20. Assist with linen/equipment inventory.
21. Spot checks on evening turn down.
22. Prepares master list for training.
23. Assists and supervises the staff in their work assignments.
24. Always be courteous to staff and fellow colleagues.
25. Assists Executive Housekeeper to interview and orientated Housekeeping staff.
26. To control the use of supplies ad keeps up to date inventory.
27. To care and maintain of equipment.
28. To ensure that the key control procedure are adhered to and ensure that all keys are returned at the end of each shift.
29. To evaluate on subordinates yearly.
30. To prepare monthly Housekeeping Report.
31. Any other duties or tasks which may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
32. Carries out such other general and /or specific responsibilities, duties, activities and performance standards as may be assigned verbally or in writing by Management from time to time to meet operational requirement or owing to urgencies of service, whether or not such assignments relate directly or indirectly to the job.
33. Complies with all relevant Hotel Policies and Procedure, House Rules, Standing Instructions, Verbally Order, etc., which are currently in force or may be drawn up, issued and/or amended by Management from time to time. These include punctuality in reporting for duty, neat and clean personal attire and appearance, security search, attendance and participation at training sessions, etc.

REQUIREMENT :

Candidate must possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM/”A” Level/Pre-U, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Manager specialized in Hotel Management/Tourism Services or equivalent.
