Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Meet guests on arrival and escort them to their rooms and ensure that they are settled in their rooms
  • Take note of the needs of guests by learning about their likes, dislikes, allergies, etc.
  • Assess and restock wine and all drink types when necessary
  • Keep up with hotel policies on safety and hygiene
  • Escort guests out of their rooms or tables when they are checking out of the hotel
  • Appear presentable before guests at all times
  • On hand to serve the guests when necessary
  • Maintain communication with housekeepers to ensure rooms are kept clean for guests at their convenience
  • Ensure that rooms meant for guests are kept clean always
  • Ensure that guest deliveries are done on time
  • Maintain professional relationship with guests, applying caution and respect
  • Serve as middleman between other departments and guests, relaying information both ways

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Hotel Management or relevant field.
  • Required Language(s): English and Mandarin
  • Mandarin speaking is a must
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience is needed at a similar level or in a credible or well-known hotel.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply
  • Excellent communication skills will be needed to maintain good conversation with both guests and colleagues in other departments
  • People management needed to manage guests and other colleagues in the hotel
  • Time management skills needed to attend to requests from guests in little or no time
  • Good attitude needed to give customers a sense of belonging in the environment
  • Attention to details
  • Problem solving skills to help guests get the best solution to any challenge they could be facing while still around.
  • 6 working days per week
  • Able to work shift or long working hours
