Hotel Royal Penang is a 4-Star Hotel situated in the heart at Georgetown with 276 luxurious guest rooms. Hotel Royal was incorporated in Singapore on 11 July 1968 with its 2 properties located at New Road & Hotel Royal @ Queens at Queen Street, Singapore.

A 2-minute walk from a bus stop, this casual hotel with views of the Indian Ocean is 1 km from Gurney Drive, a seafront promenade, and 10 km from city views atop Penang Hill.

SALES MANAGER
Candidate must possess at least Higher Secondary/STPM/”A” Level/Pre-U, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Commerce, Marketing, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
Required language(s): English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin
At least 2 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Required Skill(s): budget and sales strategy, marketing plan, Microsoft Office
Preferably Manager specialized in Sales – Corporate, Government or equivalent.
Job Description
To manage sales activities and events in line with the annual sales and marketing plan and to achieve / exceed budget and sales strategy for the hotel

Responsibilities
1. Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.
2. Sells to new, existing and prospective customers considering goals set forth in the sales strategy, negotiating optimum rate for the benefit of the business. Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals, targets and initiatives.
3. Services existing business through management of account bases.
4. Develops and maintains contact with business generators, meeting and convention planners, visitors / convention bureau, travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, Government Departments and other producers closely allied to Hotel business.
5. Builds profile within local market place through attendance at various events and local market place.
6. Plan and conduct familiarization tours and site inspections.
7. Work in line with business requirements. Work closely with all departments such as Banquet and Reservation Departments to ensure that all details are communicated clearly.
8. Maintain excellent customer relations, trade relations, industry relations and staff relations at all times.
9. Any other assignments/tasks assigned by your Superior.
