Hatten Hotel Melaka is currently looking to recruit the following positions:

Assistant Manager – Front Office
Candidate must possess at least Professional Certificate, Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Monitor and control operational tasks.
Enforce / implement departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
Review and monitor staff performance and development programmed.
Assist in planning and controlling departmental operating expenses.
Collect information and assist in compiling market trends survey.
Assist in preparing departmental reports.
Handle special assignments as may be assigned by the Front Office Manager or the Assistant Front Office Manager Handle Emergency situations.
Perform Night Duty Managerial functions.
To assist and conduct daily briefing before the start of shift.
Check previous shift’s work and follow up within any outstanding.
Check arrivals and familiarize oneself with room allocation.
Check arriving VIPs guests or any over special attention guests room set up at random.
To read and follow up on all requests in the communication log book.
To verify all check in registration card before being place in the folio wells in particularly :-
All guest particulars are completely updated
Imprint of credit card are attached with the registration card
Room deposit collected are posted in the system
Billing instruction are updated in the remarks and letter/voucher are attached with die registration card
Initial registration card after verification
Conduct room inspection as and when require.
To check credit report to ensure all outstanding credit are in line with the policies of the hotel.
To check room discrepancy report, follow up with Housekeeping Department and update room status.
To check room availability status and determine floor closure if necessary.
To acknowledge all room and rate change are updated in the system.
Keep an update of Out of Order rooms and follow up with Housekeeping Department of the release.
To reconfirm and update the departure date of all overstayed guests.
To handle any difficult guests and act on their complaint promptly
Make periodic check on current status report to analyze space availability and occupancy status for the day
Co-ordinate with the Night Auditor for any discrepancy
Supervise and control staff performance at all times. Carry out counseling or disciplinary action if require and bring matters up to the Assistant Front Office Manager.
Perform spot check on Front Office Cashier’s float / Concierge Postage float.
Handle all enquiries and problems encounters by Cashiers
Check that all shift closing audit are balance
Check and acknowledge all reimbursement made by the Front Office Cashiers
Make certain that all Front Office staff adhere to the Rules and Regulations set by the Hotel
Conduct training of new recruit and provide re-training to all staff from time to time.
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Front Office Manager or the Assistant Front Office Manager.
