De Palma Group of Hotels is wholly owned by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) under its subsidiary De Palma Management Services Sdn Bhd.

De Palma Management Services Sdn Bhd (DPMS) is currently managing and operating three hotels located in Ampang, Shah Alam and Kuala Selangor.

Apart from hotels, DPMS through De Palma Hotel Shah Alam manages and operates two restaurants located in Shah Alam which are Palma Cafe at SACC Mall and Palma Signature at Laman PKNS.

In 2009, De Palma Group of Hotels strategically moved its hotels towards Syariah or Muslim friendly standard. This novel and innovative move has benefitted the hotel’s profile with increased recognition and business opportunities. All our F&B outlets are Halal certified and our catering team had served 7,000 pax events, served the Royals, Dignitaries, VVIPs and CEOs.

Below are the list of vacancies available from De Palma Group of Hotels this month 2019.

De Palma Group of Hotels is currently looking to recruit the following positions:

HUMAN RESOURCE EXECUTIVE
Manage and oversee the Human Resources Department in the day to day operational activities in the absence of Group Human Resources Manager including attending the Morning Action Briefing, Departmental Heads or any other meetings which involves HR.
Maintain employee files, for executive and manager level employees, so that up-to-date information is easy to find.
Update annual review / confirmation and probationary records for executive and manager level employees.
Keep confidential all work related issues including employee salaries and employee matters.
Provide personnel related services to all departments and individual associates.
Supervise the HR Officer to ensure that HR files are in order and directions are properly executed.
Understand the policies and procedures for the operation of the HR department and ensure the HR SOPs and Employee Handbook are up to date.
Ensure the facilities, equipment and offices under HR supervision are maintained.
Ensure staff Action Forms are processed accurately and promptly.
Supervise all in-house staff facilities and make daily rounds to ensure facilities are clean.
Monitor food quality and cost in the Employee Cafeteria and ensure a regular rotation of dishes.
Monitor implementation of all staff benefits including medical health facilities provided.
Conduct regular checks of staff quarters and staff lockers with assigned Security personnel.
Oversee employee welfare and welfare programmes.
Plan, initiate and support Safety and Health at Work programmes.
Assist and support in counseling and coaching.
Build and maintain rapport with Labour Law and Industrial Relations Department Officers.
Monitor HR Officer on handling all documents pertaining to employees EPF, SOCSO, HRDF etc.
Process Employment and Resignations.
Process annual review and confirmations.
Update annual review / confirmation and probationary records of employees.
Submit all returns and correspondence from the Hotel to Statutory bodies.
Perform any other tasks assigned by management.

QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES
Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or any related courses
Required skill(s): employment law, benefit administration, MS Office.
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Ampang.
Preferably Senior Executive with experience in Hotel/ Hospitality industry

Group F & B Director

Responsible for all the food and beverage operations, which includes all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations.
Oversees guest and employee satisfaction, maintaining standards and meeting or exceeding financial goals.
Demonstrates knowledge and proficiency of all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
Produces the Annual Revenue Plan, Marketing Budgets and Forecasts.
Produces Action Plan related to the Revenue Plan to ensure Revenue Plan objectives are achieved
Coordinate all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicity, community relations, etc
Develops and manages all financial, employee engagement and guest satisfaction plans and actions for Food and Beverage departments.
Work with Senior Management team to align Food and Beverage sales strategies and solution to drive increased revenue and profit to achieve the Company’s ambitious growth.
Research and determine product weaknesses and areas to be modified.
Maintains a positive cost management index for kitchen and restaurant operations.
Lead the Food and Beverage department at all restaurant and hotel properties under De Palma Management Services Sdn Bhd.
Lead the development of the Food & Beverage brand marketing plan. Understands the brand’s service culture and drives alignment of all employees, team leaders and managers to the brand’s service culture.
Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
Oversees all culinary, restaurant, beverage and room service operations.
Creates and nurtures a property environment that emphasizes motivation, empowerment, teamwork, continuous improvement and a passion for providing service.
Responds quickly and proactively to employee and guests’ concerns.
Provides a learning atmosphere with a focus on continuous improvement and practice proactive coaching and counseling to team members.
Monitors and maintains the productivity level of employees.
Develops specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish work.
Provides the leadership, vision and direction to bring together and prioritize the departmental goals in a way that will be efficient and effective. Also, to sets clear expectations with the employees and team leaders and verifies that appropriate rewards are given if expectations are exceeded.
Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service by providing excellent customer service to all employees and guests.
Sets service expectations for all guests internally and externally.
Takes ownership of a guest complaint/problem until it is resolved or it has been addressed by the appropriate manager or employee.
Verifies all banquet functions are up to standard and exceed guest’s expectations.
Improves service by communicating and assisting individuals to understand guest needs, providing guidance, feedback, and individual coaching when needed.
Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities
Provides guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and conducting performance reviews in a timely manner.
Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaches, mentors, or otherwise helps others to improve their knowledge or skills and identifies the educational needs of others, develops formal educational or training programs or classes, and teaches or instructs others.
Develops an action plan to attack need areas and expand on strengths based on employee engagement and guest satisfaction results.
Complies with all corporate procedures.
QUALIFICATION AND COMPETENCIES
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Degree or Professional Degree in Hospitality/ Tourism/ Food Service Management/ Hotel and Restaurant Management/ Business Studies or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years experience in the Food and Beverage, Culinary or related professional area.
Minimum 5 years of Senior Management experience in Food & Beverage industry.
Applicants with prior experience as Executive Chef will be an added advantage.
