Beach Club & Restaurant Operations Manager
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are as follow:
Daily operations of the beach club which include cleaning, set up, daily service, program and pricing, management of cabanas and beach seating area
Train and motivating all ambassadors
Inculcating a high degree of guest empathy and creating a proactive service culture as part of an ongoing program of the guest problem resolution
Establish and utilize a beach guest history program in order to recognize, anticipate and service the needs of all repeat guests.
Attend the executive meetings in order to liaise with the other operating departments
Oversees the assignment of duties, responsibilities and sections to colleagues.
Observes and evaluates colleagues and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service are met
Mentors, develops and provides on-the-job training to all team members to strengthen their current performance and preparation for future advancement
Reviews financial transactions and monitors budget to ensure efficient operation and expenditures stay within budget limitations
Inspects food and beverage preparation to maintain quality standards and hygiene regulations.
Relentlessly pursues ongoing improvement of menu offerings and service delivery.
Ensures all proper documentation is updated
Coordinates and organizes all administrative functions applicable to the Food and Beverage operation of the resort’s beach.
To coordinate and execute work assignments among the stations.
Review, improve and implement new job specifications and training requirements for all members of the beach operation’s team.
Assists in setting standard operation procedures and job descriptions for the department.
Assists in the coordination of special promotions and provides administrative support where necessary.
Communicate new or updated SOP manual documents to all staff in a timely manner, ensuring they have been understood and individually sign off on the same.
Control department forms and records according to the Jumeirah standards for Document Control
Interacts with management and other departments within area of responsibility and develops working relationships.
Ensures the service and kitchen areas are clean, properly set up, sufficiently supplied and equipped.
Checks event orders in a timely manner, prior to function date, finalize service details and requirements no later than 3 days in advance with last minute changes forwarded to appropriate sections.
Prepares the Food and Beverage weekly forecasts.
Prepares and maintains standard operating procedures.
Conduct staff meetings on a daily basis with all key beach operation’s team members.
Maintains communication with kitchen and other related Food and Beverage departments.
Participates in public relation activities, sales calls, or other promotional activities designed at enhancing the image of the department.
Assists each team member in the planning and implementation of effective sales and promotional activities to ensure maximum revenues.
PASTRY SOUS CHEF
A Pastry Chef is responsible for supporting the Executive Chef in directing and administering the planning, preparation, production and control of all pastry production in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.
As Pastry Chef, you would be responsible for supported the Executive Chef in directing and administering the planning, preparation, production and control of all pastry production in the hotel’s continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
Direct, oversee and participate in all pastry production and operations, to include, but not limited to, quality preparation and presentation of pastries, desserts and baked goods, compliance with all safety and sanitation standards and regulations, team member productivity and performance, implementation of policies and procedures, cost controls and overall profitability
Create and implement new menus and individual menu items for outlets based on current food trends and regional tastes in partnership with Director of Food and Beverage
Interact with guests and clients to monitor and assess satisfaction trends, evaluate and address issues and make improvements accordingly
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local and company health, safety, sanitation and alcohol awareness standards
Perform general management duties including, but not limited to, systems management, budget and forecasting, report generation, department management and meeting participation and facilitation
Monitor and develop team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision and professional development, scheduling, conducting counseling and evaluations and delivering recognition and reward
Recruit, interview and train team members
Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
