Corus Hotel Kuala Lumpur is currently looking to recruit the following positions:
Supervise the purchasing activities of the department which will involve processes including calling for tenders, suppliers’ information, product evaluations and subtitutions, price negotiations and comparisons, quality checks, purchasing, etc.
Ensure that the Hotel receives competitive prices from suppliers.
Draw up a list of authorized suppliers which the Hotel will buy its products based on price competitiveness, product reliability/quality and other relevant factors.
Carry out periodic price evaluations of the Hotel’s purchases thereby ensuring that the Hotel is paying fair and competitive prices.
Updated on products availability either because of market trends or seasonal supplies.
Provide a high level of purchasing services to department managers and kitchen management regarding the product purchased and daily market items.
Attend to complaints and feedback from other departments on Hotel’s purchases and to take appropriate actions with suppliers who provide products which do not meet the desired quality.
Contribute toward the F&B sales of the Hotel’s outlets by ensuring that they provide good quality food and beverage through good purchasing strategies.
Any other tasks assigned by the Financial Controller/ Purchasing Manager.
Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in Hotel Management/ Business Administration.
At least 2 year(s) of working experience in a similar capacity is required for this position.
Can manage assigned duties independently
Proven track record of controlling and reducing external expenditure whilst developing a robust supplier base.
Strong negotiation & interpersonal skills.
