Opened in year 2000, Colmar Tropicale was modelled after 16th century Colmar town, north east of Alsace, France, also incorporating architectural designs and elements from ancient surrounding villages of Riquewihr, Turckheim and Kaysersberg. The realization of this French themed village derived from the wish list of the Malaysia’s fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad, who upon his visit to the region of Alsace were so impressed, that it inspired Tan Sri Vincent Tan, the founder of Berjaya Corporation Berhad to replicate the actual Colmar town in Malaysia.
The resort comprised of 235 rooms and suites, offers 8 food & beverage outlets / lounges with food variety ranging from local & international cuisine to an authentic French fine dining restaurant. It also offers meeting rooms and banqueting facilities.

Colmar Tropicale Berjaya Hills is currently looking to recruit the following positions:
#Sous Chef #Golf Club
Assist the Executive Chef in controlling, operating and supervising the complete food preparation and work of all kitchen personnel. Assist to ensure that standards of food quality and presentation in all outlets of the Food and Beverage department as well as in the staff canteen are met at all times as determined by the standards set by the Resort. To keep the food cost and other kitchen related expenses within the guidelines given. To guide, motivate, train and manage the kitchen staff in order to exceed guest expectations. To be quality driven and critical of all aspects of the kitchen operation in order to guarantee a high level of creativity and productivity within the organization. Assume full responsibility of the whole kitchen operation and activities during the absence of the Executive Chef. Interacts professionally with all Food and Beverage outlets/sections and other departments.
Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/”O” Level, Professional Certificate, Culinary and Kitchen Operations
Must have full working knowledge of running culinary and overall kitchen, able to manage kitchen operations i.e. monitor daily operations and food quality, Capable in managing labour, food cost and maintenance of budget.
Fully conversant with all health and safety, fire and emergency procedures.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
At least 5 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in BUKIT TINGGI,PAHANG.
Preferably Managers specializing in Food/Beverage/Culinary skill or equivalent.
Full-Time and Contract position(s) available.
Menu plan and pricing, identifying training needs, overall quality control in all food products, cost controlling, organizing new Menu for special events and promotions.
Guest feedback on quality of food and presentation, food costing, special food arrangements / displays for outlets and functions
Takes a professional self-interest in constantly maintaining a high standard of food preparation by checking food for taste, temperature and visual appeal.
Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene, dress, uniform and body image
Equipment supplies, cleanliness of back of the house Kitchens, breakages and replenishment of operating equipments, operating equipments inventory.
All aspects of maintenance within the kitchens and Food store area.
Makes sure that all dishes are uniform and that established portion sizes are adhered to.
Candidate must possess at least a Primary/Secondary School/SPM/”O” Level, Higher Secondary/STPM/”A” Level/Pre-U, any field.
Required skill(s): experience in security department operations, speak basic english, Pleasant Personality.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Applicants must be willing to work in Bukit Tinggi.
Preferably Non-Executives specializing in Security/Armed Forces/Protective Services or equivalent.
