Bayview International Hotels and Resort  is currently looking to recruit the following positions:

Regional IT Manager

Job Overview

Regional IT Manager to oversee all Information Technology functions for our hotels in Malaysia that will oversee a team of IT executives/managers and manage the hotels’ technology operations and the implementation of new IT systems and policies. The candidate must possess in-depth knowledge in IT and computer systems, with an astute technical
background while able to manage multiple projects concurrently and motivate team members. The ideal
candidate will be experienced in creating and implementing IT policies and systems that will meet objectives.
The goal is to ensure IT systems and people are effective and functioning within the limits of budget, time
and specifications of the company.

Core Responsibilities
Managing the deployment, development, monitoring, maintenance, upgrading and support of organizational IT systems. This will include operating systems, servers, PCs, software apps, telephones and peripherals.
Providing expert advice and support when systems are being upgraded or installed, or when there are conversions or file maintenance.
Overseeing the development and enhancement of systems and integrating new systems with those existing.
Working with staff to develop plans and strategies so IT services can be enhanced, user effectiveness improved, and innovation facilitated.
Liaising regularly with executive and senior management as well as systems users.
Managing IT staff, with responsibility for hiring, evaluation, training, guidance and disciplinary procedures, where necessary.
Developing standard operating procedures aligned to best practices, and ensuring written protocols and guidelines are provided for staff and all end-users.
Ensuring written documentation is created and maintained, to include user and system manuals, license agreements and all documentation relating to modifications and upgrades.
Keeping up-to-date with the most recent technologies and advising on how new technological solutions and their implementation will meet desired commercial objectives and systems requirements.
Negotiating with suppliers of hardware and software to get the best deal, including external support, and being responsible for contracting consultants and negotiating service agreements.
Creating a budget for each project as well as managing the financial aspects of the entire IT department such as purchases, annual and project-specific budgeting.

Areas of Accountability:

Policies and Standards
Understanding, designing and optimizing all best practices and standard operating procedures with all key process owners across our hotels to ensure efficiency and accuracy in performing their tasks.
To utilise systems, tools and reports in the prescribed way to ensure all processes are in-line with corporate directives and SOPs.
Quality
Provide ideas and suggestions to constantly strive for improvements on operating procedures and new initiatives.
Customer
Build an effective working relationship with hotel teams and operations to maintain their trust and confidence in Information Technology systems and processes.
Constantly review and educate the users on adopting SOPs with the help of digital tools.
People
Work with Corporate Office and its team as required to ensure all team members are provided with excellent training for information technology duties.

Specific Areas of Focus
IT Policies – Introduce and enforce IT Policies
SOPs Standardization – Understand and align all hotels SOPs
Users Training – Educating users with the recommendation SOPs
Proactive IT Management – Provide critical analysis of IT Lifecyle for every system and solution
System Health Analysis and Monitoring – Constantly monitoring the health of every system to prevent outages
Project Planning – Identify the need for upgrades, configurations or new systems and provide a plan to upper management
Project Management – Manage and oversee all stages of the development lifecycle for new projects
Vendor Management – Find the best vendor deals, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships

Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree, Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
Proven experience as Regional IT Manager or similiar role.
Experience in analysis, implemention and evaluation of IT System and their specification
Experience in controlling information Technology budget.
Excellent project management, organization and planning skills
Required language(s): English
Positive attitude and proactive approach
Ability to set and maintain minimum standard.
Ability to work accurately and effectively under pressure
Warm personality with team spirit
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
Preferably Manager specialized in IT/Computer – Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
